A Special Breakfast event in Las Vegas featuring Russell Shorto, author of a new book “Taking Manhattan”.

American Heritage Partners is honored to present a Zoom talk by Russell Shorto, an author, historian, and journalist. He is best known for his book on the Dutch origins of New York City, and The Island at the Center of the World. Shorto’s research for the book relied greatly on the work of the New Netherland Project, now known as the New Netherland Research Center, as well as the New Netherland Institute. Mr. Shorto has been the New Netherland Institute’s Senior Scholar since 2013. In 2018, Mr. Shorto was inducted in the New York Writers Hall of Fame.

This event is co-sponsored by the Nevada Mayflower Society. Tickets for this plated breakfast are $30 per person and the location will be announced soon. Parking is free. Save the date! This promises to be a very interesting presentation.
