AHP hosts live and “virtual” educational programs and activities that are open to members of the public. On our website and through social media, we offer information about research materials and other resources that members of the public can access in order to learn more about various areas of American history (principally 17th though 19th century American history, including the colonial period, the Revolution, the Civil War, and the American West). We regularly post stories and videos about American history on AHP’s website and social media, and highlight educational programs and books offered by other organizations and/or leading authors.
We regularly serve as a coordinating “hub” for community events featuring heritage societies, historical societies and related organizations. AHP also makes grants to organizations dedicated to historic presentation, and supports educational and social events hosted by various like-minded organizations. In all of these endeavors, our goal is to honor our shared American experience.
