April 5, 2025: Commemorating The 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and Concord: “Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride: Fact or Fiction?”
On April 5, 2025, AHP President Jay Dickey will be speaking via Zoom to the Cascade Centennial chapter of the Washington State Sons of the American Revolution, located in Bellevue, Washington. In April 2025, we will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the battle of Lexington & Concord, the battle that started our American Revolution. Jay’s talk is entitled “Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride: Fact or Fiction?” He’ll cover the key events leading up to Revere’s famous ride, the critical role played by Dr. Joseph Warren (who was shot and killed at the Battle of Bunker Hill), the flight of Samuel Adams and John Hancock from Boston, and the aftermath of the battle. Today, Revere’s ride has attained mythic status in the history of the Revolution. What were the real facts? Jay will explore that question and others in this virtual lecture. A Zoom recording will be available afterwards.
